The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc. offers a variety of bereavement programs to educate and support people through the natural process of grief. Bereavement programs are available at no charge to hospice surviving family members, as well as to any residents of the counties we serve who have experienced the loss of a loved one through death.

Individual and Family Counseling is available for children and adults with specially trained bereavement counselors.

Monthly Grief Support Group addresses both the immediate and on-going grief issues of this multigenerational group.

Living With Loss is a group to support and educate adults who have experienced the death of a loved one.

Grieving Parents Support Group focuses on the grief parents experience after the death of a child of any age.

Young Widows and Widowers Support Group offers support to those under the age of 55 who are grieving the death of a spouse.

After Suicide Support Group is available for those who have lost a friend or relative to suicide.

Children’s Grief Workshops offer education and support to children who are grieving the death of someone close to them.

Camp Evergreen is a weekend camp for children ages 6-18 which assists them in resolving their grief after the death of a loved one.

Good Grief Guys Support Group is an educational and supportive gathering for men who have experienced the loss of someone close to them.

After Images: Art Counseling provides a unique opportunity for individuals to explore grief issues through this creative, expressive counseling experience.

Forget Me Not Connection is a support service for anyone who has experienced the difficult loss of a miscarriage, stillbirth, or the death of an infant. The service involves individual counseling and referrals to existing area support groups.

Pet Loss services are available to support adults and children grieving the loss of a pet to address the natural feelings faced through this experience.

In addition, our specially trained staff can offer:

  • Specialized grief groups for specific populations
  • Supportive telephone contacts
  • Small group and community education
  • Training for professionals
  • Video, audio and printed materials on grief
  • Crisis intervention in instances of sudden or violent death
  • Referral to appropriate services
